Hopkinstown & Pantygraigwen

Located to the north and west of Pwllgwaun, these two small Pontypridd suburbs are also consist of a majority of mining era terraced housing. These two areas are served by the local Trehopcyn  Primary School. Slightly to the north of this area you will steel see remnants of areas mining past with the Great Western Mine, also known as Hetty Pit. To enjoy the outdoors, you can just pop across the River Rhondda to Barry Sidings Countryside park where you will also find a collection of cafes.
