Coronavirus (COVID-19)

6/1/21

Attending Property Viewings

  • If you, or a member of your household experience any symptoms of COVID-19 please let us know immediately and we will postpone the viewing.
  • Only you plus one other, from the same household can attend the viewing.
  • When attending the viewing please wear a mask
  • Please wait outside until we have carried out our pre-viewing safety work.
  • You will be asked, either by a member of our team or the property owner to use sanitiser before the viewing is conducted. We can provide this for your use. If you wish to bring your own gloves that is fine but they must be new and only used for the viewing to avoid cross contamination.
  • Either the seller/owner or our staff will open all doors and show you through the property. Please do not touch any surfaces. We will have cleaned all door handles with disinfectant wipes before the viewing commences and will open any doors not already opened prior to the viewing commencing. If you do touch a surface please let us know so we can clean the area.
  • We have been advised to keep viewings as short as possible and avoid lengthy discussions inside the property. With this in mind we are aiming to have 15 minute viewing appointments – ending in the garden or outside the premises where further questions can be asked.
  • We will not be handing out paper brochures at this time.
  • 2 metre social distance guidelines are to be adhered to at all times If you are unable to follow the guidelines above please let us know prior to the appointment. We will be unable to carry out any appointment where this guidance is not followed.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter and hope that you understand and appreciate the reasons why we have to conduct appointments in this way which is very different to previous.

Moving home & Associated Activities

Can I move home?

Yes, if you can’t delay the moving date until after alert level 4 restrictions are lifted.

Associated activities, for example, removals processes, property preparation, handover of keys, surveys and valuations can also take place in line with guidance on working in other people’s homes.

Can home viewings take place?

We strongly advise that virtual viewings are used wherever possible, but viewings of properties can take place during alert level 4, however household mixing must be avoided during viewing. For more information please see our guidance on moving home during coronavirus. High street estate agencies are required to close to the public.

Can a valuation or mortgage survey be done at my property?

People responsible for valuing and surveying, such as estate agents, are not prohibited from entering people’s homes, as long as it is managed in a safe way and both the worker and household members are well and have no symptoms of coronavirus.  See guidance on working in other people’s homes for more information.

We’ve been actively monitoring the situation with regards to the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Our top priority is to ensure the welfare of our employees, tenants and clients, whilst also ensuring that we continue to maintain our level of service.

At the moment, it is business as normal for Let Right Properties ltd including our sister company Sell Right Estate Agents, however visits to our branches will be solely by appointment only from 17th March 2020. To make such an appointment, please contact us on 01443 401114.

However, we are taking steps to mitigate the impact of the changing situation in-line with guidance from UK authorities. This includes a provision for as many employees as possible to work from home when required. We are regularly monitoring the situation and will update you in due course should there be unavoidable changes to our service.

Finally, if you’re suffering from symptoms of the virus and are required to self-isolate, this guide is particularly helpful; especially if you live with others.
